Strategist Roy Hodgson claims to be confident that Fernando Torres will soon find his rhythm and start scoring goals.
The Spaniard, plagued by injuries and poor athletic form, has only five precise shots to his name this season and has not scored in the last four matches.
"Throughout the first part of the season, we failed to take advantage of opportunities - I don't think the numbers we see reflect what we actually created in front of the opponents' goal," Hodgson stated.
"The players understand that, as we have one of the best strikers in Europe in Torres. He doesn't need to be reminded of what he missed, as he could probably list everything that should have been turned into goals in the past four or five months - that stays in people's minds.
"The most important thing is that we create opportunities, so if Torres continues to have them, he will soon start scoring goals."
