There will be no shortage of intriguing matches in the English Premier League this weekend. The upcoming Liverpool derby is drawing a lot of interest, as well as the match between Manchester City and London Arsenal, and the clash between Aston Villa and the group leaders Leicester City who have not dropped any points yet. Surprisingly, Everton currently holds the first place in the league, having won all four matches. However, Everton has not defeated Liverpool in the city derby for 11 years. The last time Everton beat Liverpool in the Premier League was in October 2010 (2-0). In various competitions, Liverpool has not lost to Everton in 22 consecutive matches - with 11 wins and 11 draws. Defending champions Liverpool sensationally lost 2-7 to Aston Villa in the last round. Jurgen Klopp's team has 9 points after 4 games and is currently in fifth place. Arsenal has also not beaten Manchester City in the English championship for a long time. The last time was in December 2015 (2-1). Currently, City have suffered 6 consecutive defeats in the country's championship. However, Arsenal won 2-0 in the FA Cup match in July. Arsenal had a better start in the English championship, with 9 points after 4 matches (4th place). City have only accumulated 4 points in 3 games and are in 14th place.
