Recently, there have been several farewells to local coaches in the English Premier League. Russell Martin lost his job at Southampton, and Gary O'Neil was sacked by the Wolves.

After these coaching dismissals, the Premier League has quite a few local specialists left.

Among the Top 5 local European leagues, the Premier League has the least number of local coaches - only 2 (Sean Dyche from Everton and Eddie Howe from Newcastle). It is worth noting that Ipswich's coach Kieran McKenna is British, hailing from Northern Ireland.

In France's Ligue 1 and Germany's Bundesliga, 9 local specialists are coaching clubs.

This statistic is dominated by Italy's Serie A, where 16 Italians are coaching. In Spain's La Liga, there are 14 local specialists.
