"Barcelona" president Sandro Rosell mentioned that the club is actively interested in Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.
It is said that the German national team player caught the eye of the Spanish vice champions last summer, when they failed to lure Thiago Silva, who moved from AC Milan to Paris St.Germain.
"We are interested in a German player, but I cannot reveal his name, because it would automatically raise the price," Rosell told ZDF television.
Hummels, whose situation is also being monitored by the English Premier League leaders Manchester United, has a release clause in his contract that could amount to about 25 million euros."
