Iker Casillas indirectly criticized the "Real" management for the recent farewell of him and other team legends, stating that every team player deserves such a career ending at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, like the defender Alvaro Arbeloa received.
The goalkeeper posted a video on his Facebook account, in which he spoke in Spanish about Arbeloa's retirement at the "Real" home arena and the support the defender received in his last match.
"Every player who plays for the 'Real' club deserves such a farewell with their teammates and fans. I am grateful to him for everything he gave to the team and wish him all the best in the next stage of his life. Alvaro was a product of the youth academy who had to leave to prove his worth and return to the main 'Real' team," said Casillas.
After these words from Casillas, the history was once again remembered of how the longtime team captain ended his career at the club. Casillas only had a press conference organized, where he was the only participant. Such a farewell from the player to the club did not even come close to what Arbeloa received in his last match.
During his career at the "Real" club, Arbeloa played in more than 200 matches, while Casillas, who played for 16 seasons in the team, wore the club's jersey on the field over 700 times.
