Madrird's "Real" captain Iker Casillas is close to moving to the "Porto" club, but whether the deal will happen depends on the Spanish capital team.
The Portuguese team offered the veteran a two-year contract, under which the goalkeeper would earn 2.5 million euros per year. The contract could be extended for another season.
However, there are still two years left until Casillas's current contract with "Real" ends, and in the "royal" club he earns 7 million euros, so the 34-year-old footballer hopes that the salary difference in Portugal will be covered by the Madrid team.
"Real" will not stand in the way of Casillas and the club representatives are already actively looking for a new main goalkeeper, but will try to find a less expensive solution.
The player's desire to leave was confirmed by his agent Carlo Cutropia: "Casillas is excited about the opportunity to join 'Porto'," the goalkeeper's representative told Record.
