At the World Cup, the battles of the quarterfinals are already in full swing, but the football community is still talking about Germany's national team fiasco.
The world champions were unexpectedly eliminated from the World Cup after the group stage. The Germans started the championship by losing to Mexico, but then redeemed themselves with an impressive performance against Swedes. However, in the decisive match, Germany lost 0:2 to South Korea.
The assistant coach of the Croatian national team, Ivica Olic, is very close to Germany, as he spent 12 years of his career there. The former football player admitted that he did not watch the match, and when he learned the result, he could not believe it.
"After Germany defeated Sweden 2:1, everyone in Croatia said that this is typical of Germany.
I did not see the match against South Korea because our team training was taking place at that time. Then I received the information, but I thought it was a joke. I could not and did not want to believe it.
But from the beginning, the Germans could not control their game," said I. Olic.
