I.Akinfejevas, having scored his own goals, reached another Champions League record

Moscow CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev made it into the history of the UEFA Champions League, but in a way that he himself would like to delete that record, according to lrytas.lt

In the 6th round match of Group E on Wednesday in London, CSKA lost 1:3 to Tottenham Hotspur, and the 30-year-old I. Akinfeev conceded the last goal of the match.

On November 25th last year, I. Akinfeev conceded a goal in a match in Moscow against Wolfsburg, when CSKA lost 0:2.

This is the first case in the history of the Champions League when the same goalkeeper scores two own goals in his own goal.

I. Akinfeev also holds another Champions League anti-record - the Russian has already conceded at least one goal in 43 consecutive matches.
