Ibra had to say "no" to D. Beckham for "Man United"

Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed that in order to join "Manchester United", he had to reject David Beckham's offer.

The Swede's move to Old Trafford was also linked with a move to the MLS league at the same time, but ultimately he chose the "Red Devils".

Speaking to Goal.com, the striker expressed his joy with his current decision, but also revealed that he hopes to move to the USA in the future.

"David is a good friend of mine and he offered me to play for his team (a club based in Miami that doesn't have a name yet- ed. note)", Ibrahimovic said. "Right now I want to achieve great things with Manchester United, but I also have a lot of respect for the MLS, so anything is possible."

According to the forward, he has interest from several teams playing across the Atlantic.

"I know that MLS teams were interested in me, but the opportunity to play for Manchester United and, of course, to work again with my good friend Jose Mourinho, was impossible to turn down."

Ibrahimovic ultimately added that he feels great and plans to continue playing until he is 40. Currently, he is 35 years old.
