World football experienced a sensation at the 2016 European Championship, as Iceland defeated England 2-1 in the quarterfinals and sent them home.
Representatives of the tiny state hope to create a similar story at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where these two teams are guaranteed to play.
"We hope to meet them in the group stage immediately. The last time we played against England, we had a great match and I think we could beat them again," said Johann Berg Gudmundsson, a winger playing for Burnley.
"Gareth Southgate's players will feel much greater pressure - after all, their team includes much more expensive players who perform in every championship," he added.
"It's not surprising that the media and people of this country want more. And the previous match against England is always remembered in the English press as a 'humiliation against Iceland'."
