Spanish clubs, having lost their positions in Europe, decided not to wait and this summer decided to strengthen as needed.
It has been calculated that since the opening of the transfer window, "La Liga" teams have already spent over 1 billion euros, which is undoubtedly a record for this country.
Just a couple of years ago, the Spanish envied the money spent by English clubs - "Premier" League teams' expenses for newcomers made up 41% of the transfer window funds, while "La Liga" teams - only 15%.
In 2017, the English portion decreased to 37%, and last year - to 31%.
Meanwhile, the Spanish increasingly demonstrated their financial muscles - already in 2018, their expenses jumped to 20%.
