Impressively Switzerland, rebounding after two missed goals, left Belgium in second position

On Sunday evening, two more matches of the final round of divisions A-D were played in the UEFA Nations League.

A huge sensation was recorded in Lucerne, where the home crowd-supported Switzerland clashed with another A division team - Belgium. The third-place winners of the World Cup were leading the group the whole time but unexpectedly failed to reach the final four - the Swiss scored five goals and triumphed with a score of 5:2.

The Belgians started the match fantastically - Thorgan Hazard scored two goals in the 17th minute, giving the Belgians a solid lead.

However, the Swiss showed great dedication and managed to score three response goals before the end of the first half. One was scored by Ricardo Rodriguez, and two more were added by the star of the match Haris Seferovic.

Even though the Belgians were trailing, they could still remain in the first position - the most important thing for them was not to lose by two goals.

However, Switzerland did not allow that to happen - Nico Elvedi scored the fourth goal in the 62nd minute, and H. Seferovic sealed the victory with a "hat-trick" at the end of the match.

Belgium remained in second place, while Iceland dropped to the B division with zero points.

In the B division, Austria celebrated a victory, but it did not lead them to the final four. In the C division, Estonia unexpectedly defeated Greece and celebrated their first victory. Hungary also enjoyed a victory over Finland.

In the D division, Belarus secured the first position by defeating San Marino, while Moldova and Luxembourg ended their match in a draw.
