Kylian Mbappe on Saturday inscribed his name in the history of "Monaco" by improving Thierry Henry's record for the youngest goal scorer at the "Monaco" club.
17-year-old Henry scored his first professional goal for "Monaco" on April 29, 1995, when "Monaco" celebrated a 6-0 victory against the "Lens" team. The achievement, which had lasted for almost 21 years, was surpassed last weekend.
Mbappe scored his goal in extra time and secured the team's victory 3-1 against the "Troyes" team. He broke Henry's record being just a few months younger than Henry was at the time. It is worth noting that when Henry scored his first goal, Mbappe hadn't even been born yet.
These were not the first matches of the seventeen-year-old talent in the "Monaco" team. He had already played five games in the "Ligue 1" matches and made his debut in the Europa League tournament, where the young striker managed to make an assist.
