English clubs eventually decided not to spend as much money as usual in the transfer window.

FIFA released statistics for the winter transfer window, which hasn't been seen since 2017.

English clubs were not the biggest spenders on transfers for the first time since 2017. Together, they spent 184 million US dollars. France ranks first with expenditures of 291.9 million US dollars.

The "Lyon" club stood out, trying not to fall out of the "Ligue 1" by spending almost 60 million US dollars (56.13 million euros).

German clubs took third place in terms of money spent in this transfer window, Spaniards took fourth place, and surprisingly Brazilian clubs took fifth place, regaining some stars like Luiz Henrique. The Italians were left behind.
