In the Spanish „La Liga“ championship, Seville's „Real Betis“ lost at home to the „Villarreal“ club with a score of 2:3.
The hosts were led in the 30th minute by Guido Rodriguez. Alex Baena equalized the score in the 40th minute. In the 45+2 minute, Willian Jose once again put the „green and whites“ ahead.
In the 48th minute, a curious own goal was scored by „Real Betis“ defender Sokratis, making the score even at 2:2. In the 67th minute, striker Alexander Sorloth put the „submariners“ ahead for the first time.
In the 70th minute, Alberto Moreno and Ezequiel Avila both received red cards. Both teams played the remaining time with one less player.
After the victory, „Villarreal“ rises to the 11th place in the table.
