During Tuesday evening's intense and dramatic "La Liga" match, "Sevilla" played at home against "Valencia" ending with a score of 1:1.
The only goal of the match came in the 6th minute. After a high pass from Dimitri Foulquier, Edinson Cavani scored with a header.
Throughout the rest of the match, both teams had chances to score, and one of them was taken advantage of towards the end by Erik Lamela, equalizing for "Sevilla". In the 86th minute, after a lifted corner kick, Kike Sola headed the ball to the Argentine who didn't miss, shooting into the bottom left corner.
During added time, tensions rose to a high point and the referee began handing out cards in all directions. From the 85th minute until the end of the match, the referee showed yellow cards to five players, and a defender from the "Sevilla" team committed a foul in his penalty area in the 90+11 minute, receiving a red card.
However, standing at the 11-meter mark, "Valencia" defender Jose Gaya failed to convert the penalty kick and the goalkeeper Bono extended the lead for his team by saving the shot.
After this match, "Valencia" now sits in eighth place in the standings. Meanwhile, "Sevilla" holds the eleventh position for the time being.
