“Bochum” dramatically survived in the Bundesliga.

In the second leg of the play-off match, “Bochum” defeated Dusseldorf’s “Fortuna” 3-0, and the overall series result after 90 minutes was tied at 3-3.

During extra time, neither team scored, so the match went to a penalty shootout.

“Bochum” secured victory after an unfortunate missed penalty by Japanese defender Takashi Uchino. His shot went over the crossbar.

“Fortuna” will remain in the second Bundesliga.
