In an intense match - draw between 'Džiugas' and 'Šiauliai'

The 26th round of the "TOPsport A League" started in Telšiai. The spectators gathered in the stadium witnessed yet another draw between the teams FA "Šiauliai" and Telšiai "Džiugas" with a score of 2:2 (1:1).

The guests from the Sun City started the match more successfully – after a pass from Mantas Kuklys, Vytas Gašpuitis directed the ball into the net.

Just a few moments later, the home team responded with a dangerous attack – Joaquimas Domingosas shot from outside the penalty area, hitting the crossbar.

In the 10th minute, Christianas Bella played excellently, sending the ball into the far corner of the goal and equalizing the score.

As the first half progressed, the game leveled out, but neither team was able to create dangerous chances. As the first half approached its end, Rolandas Baravykas attempted a long-range shot, but the ball flew wide. "Džiugas" attacking leader Nino Noordanusas received a great pass from the flank just before the break but shot straight at goalkeeper Gustas Baliutavičius.

The second half of the match was once again kicked off more actively by the Šiauliai team – Davis Ikauniekas made a sharp pass into the penalty area, and the Telšiai defender Miroslavas Puškarovas directed the ball into his own net.

After a few minutes, following a dangerous shot from N. Noordanusas, G. Baliutavičius defended the FA "Šiauliai" goal.

In the 72nd minute, the home team once again showcased a Žemaitian character. Ch. Bella hit the crossbar, and the first to rush to the rebounding ball was Dejanas Trajkovskis, who directed it into the goal.

FA "Šiauliai" finished the match with a disadvantage, as Justas Petravičius, who appeared on the pitch after a substitution, was sent off.

Having earned a point, Andrius Lipskis' pupils remain fourth, while the Šiauliai team is in sixth place.
