Sad news has swept through European football.

It is reported that 63-year-old German Andreas Brehme passed away.

The defender, who played 86 matches for the German national team, became best known for his decisive goal in the 1990 World Cup final.

Playing against Argentina, the Germans managed to triumph with a score of 1:0, with A. Brehme scoring the winning goal from a penalty kick.
