In Asia - very strict punishments for participants of fixed matches

sian Football Confederation (AFC) has imposed very strict penalties on two players of the Laos national team.

It was officially announced that Khampheng Sayavutthi and Lembo Saysana will not be able to play professional football for life for participating in fixed matches.

AFC determined that match-fixing occurred in the match between Laos and Hong Kong national teams on October 5, 2017.

In the statement released, the confederation also announced that they would try to persuade FIFA to disqualify the athletes from playing matches in any country on the planet.

Hong Kong won the tainted match with a score of 4:0, scoring goals in the 10th, 13th, 73rd and 83rd minutes.
