Former London "Chelsea" striker Demba Ba, aged 31, season in China has come to an end. The French-born striker suffered an open leg fracture during a match in the Chinese Championship.
D. Ba, represented by Shanghai "Shenhua," clashed with the SIPG team from the same city at home. "Shenhua" extended their lead to 2-1, but the taste of victory was overshadowed by the shocking injury to the African player.
Having spent the majority of his career in the "Premier" League, the striker suffered a gruesome injury in the 70th minute when running to receive a ball sent by a teammate. As he was running, the opponent, not seeing him, struck his leg and D. Ba immediately fell to the ground.
