On Friday, an incredible football spectacle marked the end of the 19th round of the English Premier League.
The "Wolves" team, who managed to eliminate a two-goal deficit, delivered another blow to the "Manchester City" team, who played the majority of the game with only ten players. The "City" team in the second half failed to maintain their lead and suffered a defeat with a score of 2:3.
This was already the fifth defeat for the "Man City" team this season, which pleased the league leaders "Liverpool", who, after a victory against Leicester, gained a 13-point advantage over their nearest pursuers.
The "Man City" team got into trouble right at the beginning of the match, when Ederson received a red card in the 12th minute. Leaving his goal and obstructing the opponent running towards him, the referee had no choice but to send the goalkeeper off the field.
However, even playing with ten players, the "City" team managed to gain a two-goal lead. In the 25th minute, Raheem Sterling put the guests ahead after two curious attempts to score from the penalty spot and finally reaching the target just after Rui Patricio saved the second shot.
The second half promised a lot for the "Man City" team - in the 50th minute, the same R. Sterling extended the advantage. It seemed that the English champions, even playing with a numerical disadvantage, had all the cards in their favor.
However, just five minutes later, Adam Traore reduced the deficit, and in the 82nd minute, following the same Spaniard's successful pass, Raul Jimenez equalized the score.
In the ultimate twist, the visitors from Manchester were sent off in the 89th minute - as Matt Doherty, seeming to be threaded past his standing opponents, directed the ball into Claudio Bravo's goal with a powerful shot, and the "Wolves" celebrated a dramatic 3:2 victory.
Rising to fifth place, "Wolves" reduced the gap with "Chelsea" to two points. Additionally, this was the second victory against "Man City" this season.
