The home team took the lead in the 17th minute, when after a great counter-attack, O. Giroud scored a career goal. Alexis Sanchez lifted the ball into the penalty area, and the Frenchman scored with a scorpion kick into Crystal Palace's goal.
The goal that secured the victory came in the 56th minute, when Alex Iwobi scored with a header. Arsenal sits in third place with 40 points, trailing the leaders by 9 points.
