In England - third "Man Utd" consecutive draw (VIDEO)

On Saturday evening, the seventh match of the 21st round of the English Premier League took place.

At "Old Trafford" stadium, "Manchester United" aimed to return to the path of victory against "Southampton". Jose Mourinho's players failed to fulfill this task - a goalless draw was recorded and the second position was lost.

From the very beginning of the match, there was a fierce battle on the field. The hosts were slightly more dangerous with the ball, but they failed to turn it into a very dangerous opportunity.

In the 14th minute, Jose Mourinho was forced to substitute Marcus Rashford off the pitch because Romelu Lukaku did not get up from the ground after a collision and had to leave the field on a stretcher. It is unclear how serious the head injury was for the Belgian.

Throughout the remainder of the first half, neither team managed to score, although they both had chances. Both David De Gea and the opponents' goalkeeper defended their goals admirably.

In the second half, the situation did not change - "Man Utd" had more possession and tried to create attacks, but "Southampton" easily organized their defense and even counterattacked dangerously.

Neither team managed to score a goal, so they had to settle for a draw, which did not please the "Red Devils" players.

This was the third consecutive match in which "Man Utd" played to a draw. After missing another opportunity to score three points, J. Mourinho's army dropped to the third position, conceding their spot to the "Chelsea" club.

Result:

"Man Utd" 0 - 0 "Southampton"
