Melbourne saw a friendly match between two of the most famous South American teams - the national teams of Brazil and Argentina.
Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, narrowly defeated Neymar's Brazil. Brazil created more dangerous chances, but an episode at the end of the first half determined the victory for Argentina.
The winning goal came in the 45th minute, when after a set piece, Gabriel Mercado sent the ball into the net of the Brazilian national team.
In the second half, Brazil had several perfect chances to equalize the score, but luck was on Argentina's side - the ball hit the post once, and Nicolas Otamendi managed to block Gabriel Jesus' shot from the goal line.
