Today, the traditional "Emirates Cup" tournament started at the London "Arsenal" stadium. In the opening match, the hosts welcomed Lisbon's "Benfica" footballers.
In the 11th minute, Franco Cervi managed to score after a corner kick, but shortly after, Theo Walcott equalized the score after a pass from newcomer Sead Kolašinac.
The same Englishman, a "gunner", took the lead after playing for a little over half an hour, but before the break, Eduardo Salvio managed to score as well.
The second half belonged to the "Arsenal" footballers. It started with an own goal by Lisandro Lopez and in the 64th minute, Olivier Giroud perfectly converted a pass from Reiss Nelson.
Finally, the Frenchman himself accurately assisted Alex Iwobi, who fired a shot into the goal, and the match ended with a convincing 5-2 victory.
In a friendly match against Berlin's "Hertha," Liverpool also played for this preparation season cycle without losing a match.
Jurgen Klopp's players once again performed excellently, with newcomers playing a significant role in the victory. The young striker Dominic Solanke scored in the 15th minute.
As the first half approached its end, Georginio Wijnaldum scored to make it 2-0.
Another newcomer, Mohamed Salah, extended the "reds" lead with a fantastic goal after playing for over an hour, escaping from opponents and skillfully dodging the "Hertha" goalkeeper.
