On Wednesday evening, Pope Francis organized "Peace and Solidarity" friendly match in Rome, where world football stars like Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho, or Francesco Totti participated. However, the match was not without conflicts. Two Argentinians who are not very fond of each other, D. Maradona and Juan Sebastian Veron, met on opposite sides. Their bad relationship dates back to the time when D. Maradona briefly coached Veron in the Argentine national team.
After several clashes on the field, D. Maradona tried to provoke his compatriot and cursed at him after the match. However, J. Veron did not respond to the provocations, and later other players calmed down D. Maradona. In the charity match, J. Veron's team, represented by Ronaldinho, triumphed with a score of 3-4.
