In the 48th minute, Leon Bailey scored the first goal for Bayer, while Wendell secured the victory with a penalty kick in the 68th minute.
In other matches, Wolfsburg also celebrated a victory, albeit a slightly tougher one. Yunus Malli's goal in the 72nd minute ensured the victory of the Wolves over Hannover.
After the victory, Wolfsburg remains in 13th place.
