In Italy, "Fiorentina" and "Milan" celebrated victories.

Seven matches were played last night at the penultimate round of the "Serie A".

The "Napoli", currently in fourth place, closed in on Florence's "Fiorentina" by two points last night. Rafa Benitez's players were forced to admit the superiority of the Turin champions "Juventus", while "Fiorentina" defeated "Palermo" 3-2 away.

"Viola" went ahead after goals from Josip Ilicic and Alberto Gilardino with scores of 1-0 and 2-1, but the hosts managed to equalize both times. However, they couldn't find an answer to Marcos Alonso's goal for "Palermo".

In the final match, "Milan" players thrashed "Torino" 3-0 at home, moving one position higher. Interestingly, both teams had players shown a red card in these matches. Stephan El Shaarawy, who scored a brace, and Giampaolo Pazzini, who converted a penalty from 11 meters, were among the goalscorers.
