On the evening, two Italian championship matches were played. In the first match, Udinese footballers secured a victory at home against Genoa Sampdoria with a convincing result, but it was certainly not easy. The hosts managed to score the first goal only through Rodrigo De Paul's penalty kick and expelled Edgar Barreto with two yellow cards already from the field. Furthermore, Udinese scored two more penalty kicks after the break. Maxi Lopez scored the second goal, and after another of his goals, Seko Fofana converted the next penalty kick. In the later matches between Genoa and Bologna, there were fewer goals - the only decisive goal was scored by Rodrigo Palacio, following a pass from Mattia Destro.
