In Kaunas, an integrational vocational schools football tournament took place

On February 13, the second integrated vocational schools 8 vs 8 football tournament "KAFF Winter Cup 2024" took place at the stadium of Kaunas University of Technology Training Center Social Services Department to mark the Restoration of the State of Lithuania.

The tournament featured teams from Kaunas University of Technology Training Center - Social Services Department, King Mindaugas Vocational Training Center, Aukstaitija Vocational Training Center, and Kaunas Information Technology School.

The tournament started with the teams lining up and singing the national anthem of Lithuania.

"It is meaningful that during the tournament we encourage participants to remember, protect, and cherish the history of Lithuania. Through the tournament, we aim to draw attention to the inclusivity policy and equal opportunities for every citizen of the Republic of Lithuania," noted the head of the Social Services Department, Giedra Sadauskiene.

After all the teams played against each other, it was revealed that the first team of Kaunas University of Technology Training Center - Social Services Department emerged as the winners of the tournament, the footballers of King Mindaugas Vocational Training Center adorned themselves with medals for second place, and the team from Kaunas Information Technology School took the third place.

The most productive player was Mario Todorou, a player from King Mindaugas Vocational School, who scored four goals.

The tournament's winning teams and participants were awarded cups and medals established by the Kaunas County Football Federation, while the best players received personal prizes presented by the head of the Social Services Department, Giedra Sadauskiene, and expert teacher Vida Miseviciene.

The football tournament was organized by the profession teacher expert of the Social Services Department Vida Miseviciene, sports club leader Rytis Slezys, and health care specialist Jovita Cesaityte.
