In the last match of the "Optibet A League", Gargždai's "Banga" showed character. David Afonso's players defeated "Kauno Žalgiris" 1:0 (0:0) and secured their place in next year's championship. The Gargždai team, actively attacking the opponents' goal, celebrated a late victory. Substitute Karolis Žebrauskas scored a great goal in the 84th minute. In the tournament table, "Banga" (36 points) took the seventh place, surpassing both Telšiai's "Džiugas" and Alytus's "Dainava" (both with 35 points) who dropped out of the championship. "Kauno Žalgiris" (63 points) finished the competition in third place.
