“Sport1” TV announced that they will now broadcast the Asian Champions League tournament.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar. What connects this trio of superstars this season? The answer is simple: they all with their clubs have reached the knockout stages of the Asian Champions League starting this Wednesday.

You will be able to watch the matches on SPORT1 TV.

“Both C.Ronaldo, K.Benzema, and Neymar have a limitless number of fans in Lithuania, people want to see them as much as possible, and in this case, we provide it. The matches have reached the knockout stage, where each game gains more meaning and, of course, interest. Moreover, we see how football is globalizing, the most prominent players of the old continent try to find success abroad and choose Asian continent clubs, where they can contribute to raising the overall football level and win no less significant trophies,” said SPORT1 programming director Deividas Pupelis.

The Asian continent covers a wide range of time zones, so until the final, teams are divided into two regions: East (Thailand, Japan, China, South Korea) and West (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates).

For convenience, matches from the Western region will usually be shown.

“In the Western region, matches usually start Lithuanian time from 16:00 to 20:00. This is a very good time for viewers, so there will be no shortage of broadcasts from this region on SPORT1 in the near future. With the East, it is a bit more difficult because there the match starts are scheduled from 11:00 to 14:00. And all this on weekdays - from Tuesday to Thursday. Of course, it will not be the case that we will ignore the East, but the choice of broadcasts from this region will depend on the importance of the matches and, of course, the involvement and preferences of the viewers,” D. Pupelis explained.
