In Madrid fans died after a fight near the stadium

Madrid's "Atletico" club issued a statement condemning the violence that led to the death of one fan today. Four ultras groups clashed outside the "Vicente Calderon" stadium in the capital: "Riazor Blues" (Deportivo fans from La Coruna), "Frente Atletico" (Atletico Madrid), "Bukaneros" (Rayo Vallecano), and "Alkoor" (Alcorcon). Police reported that after the home team defeated Deportivo 2-0, fourteen people were injured, and one away fan was hit in the head and thrown into the river. The Galician newspaper La Voz de Galicia wrote that the football fan was a little older than forty and should have received urgent medical attention as he suffered a heart attack. However, the Madrid clinical hospital later announced that the treatment was unsuccessful and the fan did not survive. The Liga de Futbol Profesional (LFP), which oversees "La Liga," tried to cancel the match, but as they later announced, it was impossible. Police also confirmed identifying over a hundred hooligans and arresting 24 of them.
