"Optibet A lygos" leaders - Vilnius "Žalgiris" and Marijampolė "Sūduva" - presented yet another football spectacle. In the postponed 29th round match, Žalgiris took the lead with two goals, but failed to maintain the advantage - 2:2 (0:0). In this match, Marijampolė club couldn't rely on the injured Semiras Kerla, and Jordan N'Kololo had to leave the field just before the clash. The first half was quite dull. In the early minutes, Giedrius Matulevičius successfully controlled the ball after Vaido Slavicko's pass, but failed to disarm Tomislav Duko. On the other side of the field, Francis Kyeremeh escaped the clash with Ivan Kardum but missed the goal. After the break, the goals started pouring in: in the 51st minute, H. Videmont deceived the opponent and sent the ball into the net, although I. Kardum made a serious mistake, so the Frenchman celebrated his 14th goal in this season of the "Optibet A lyga". In the 64th minute, Žalgiris doubled the score after a beautiful attack. Josip Tadić passed the ball to Mantas Kuklys, who scored with a powerful shot. However, this did not guarantee an easy life for the champions. In the 73rd minute, the ball hit Djibril Diaw's hand in the penalty area - Nicolas Gorobsov converted the penalty awarded by the referee. What's more, 7 minutes later, taking advantage of the opponent's mistake, Aleksandar Makasi equalized the score. In the remaining time, Žalgiris had two great opportunities to take the lead, but H. Videmontas and Jakubas Sylvestras could not extend the lead for the visitors. Sūduva was also active, however, T. Duko had little work. With 69 points, the Vilnius club maintained a 2-point advantage over Sūduva and still has a match in reserve.
