At 6 p.m. Lithuanian time, the penultimate match of the 9th round took place in the English Premier League.
In the biggest stadium in England, "Wembley", London's "Tottenham" hosted the "Liverpool" footballers. The record-breaking match in terms of the number of fans unfolded successfully for only one team - "Spurs" secured a 4-1 victory against the "Reds".
The match was record-breaking in that there were 80,827 spectators at the "Wembley" stadium. This is a new attendance record for the Premier League.
In the 4th minute of the match, the first goal was scored - Harry Kane led the hosts forward after excellent ball play. The second goal was not long to wait for either - Heung-Min Son also had his say.
However, the "Liverpool" team managed to get back into the game when Mohamed Salah reduced the deficit with a precise strike in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, the intrigue did not last until the second half - in added time, Dele Alli struck a third goal into the "Liverpool" net.
In the second half, "Tottenham" finally "killed" the visitors from Liverpool - H. Kane scored the fourth goal after confusion in the penalty area and the not so confident S. Mignolet's play.
During the remaining time, "Tottenham" almost didn't attack and gave many opportunities for the "Liverpool" team to score, but once again Hugo Lloris played superbly in his goal, helping to secure the result of 4-1.
"Tottenham" climbed to second place after the victory, five points behind the leaders "Manchester United".
Jurgen Klopp seriously needs to rethink both his and the club's future - "Liverpool" this season has only achieved three wins in the Premier League and now occupies only ninth place.
