Unbelievable episode of the defender of the "Rostov" team in the Russian "Premier" league resonated throughout the media.
The heroic play of left-back player Evgeny Chernov at the goal line not only saved the "Rostov" team from a goal, but also helped them achieve a victory against Moscow's "Lokomotiv."
After a high pass leaving the goal, the goalkeeper failed to catch the ball, and the "Lokomotiv" forward attempted a header, but Chernov managed to pull the ball out from the goal line.
However, the Russian heroics of Chernov did not end there - the "Lokomotiv" team retained the ball and took another shot, but Chernov, after the first episode ending up behind the goal line, lying on his back, stretched out from the goal and with his body thwarted another attempt by the opponents to score.
"Rostov" won the match with a score of 2:1.
