Edinburgh's "Hibernian" played away against "Motherwell" and managed to recover in the second half after conceding a goal, but a last-minute goal by Stephen Craigan earned a point for the hosts.
Meanwhile, "Kilmarnock" took advantage by winning 2-1 against "Falkirk" and surpassed "Hibernian" to move into fourth place. "Aberdeen" found themselves in sixth place after a comfortable victory against the league's bottom team.
In the League Cup final on Sunday, "Dunfermline" will face league leaders Glasgow "Celtic", while in an intriguing battle for second place in the league, Edinburgh's "Hearts" will play at home against Glasgow "Rangers".
