Lee Carsley's successful debut at the helm of the England men's national team did not change the FA's plans.

The Telegraph confirms that the 'Three Lions' team does not intend to offer a long-term contract to the interim coach and continues to search for a renowned specialist.

It is reported that Eddie Howe, Graham Potter, Frank Lampard, and even Jose Guardiola are in contention to coach the England national team.

The latter coach is referred to as a 'dream target' and would be expected to join by next summer when he could leave 'Man City' club.

L. Carsley won his first two UEFA Nations League matches with a consistent score of 2-0 against the teams of Ireland and Finland.
