In the second place, Madrid's "Atletico" faced Vigo's "Celta" at home. Diego Simeone did not have significant difficulties - the opponents were defeated with a score of 3-0.
"Atletico" was led to victory by three players - Antoine Griezmann, Vitolo, and Angel Correa.
Having suffered a loss in the previous round against "Barca", the Madrid club is behind the latter by 8 points, but they do not give up in the fight for the top position.
In other matches, Barcelona's "Espanyol" team won after a tough battle. The Catalans were behind 0-1 against "Real Sociedad" after the first half, but the goals of the attacking duo in the second half determined the victory with a score of 2-1.
The remaining two matches ended with identical victories for the Bilbao "Athletic" and "Villarreal" clubs - 2:0.
