Supported by their fans at the "La Rosaleda" fortress, "Malaga" clashed with "Sporting Gijon". Despite leading twice, the visitors could not hold off the Andalusians and suffered a 2-3 defeat. In the 13th minute, "Gijon" took the lead, but just before the break, "Malaga" defender Pablo Fornals equalized with an important goal. However, at the beginning of the second half, the visitors managed to regain the advantage, but they could not hold onto it for long.
