In the Spanish „La Liga“ championship, Bilbao's „Athletic“ club defeated „Girona“ at home with a score of 3:2.
The hosts were led ahead by Alex Berenguer in the 2nd minute.
In the 49th minute, Viktor Tsyhankov equalized the score. In the 56th minute, Berenguer once again put the Basques ahead and scored a double. In the 60th minute, Inaki Williams doubled the score. In the 75th minute, „Girona“'s defender Eric Garcia reduced the score.
