The Tunisians finished fifth in the tournament after a penalty shootout of 11 meters, beating Guadalajara's "Chivas" (Mexico) 6:5. The main match time ended in a draw of 1:1 (0:1). For the first time, the UAE teams participating in this FIFA tournament were awaited by nearly 26,000 seats at the "Hazza bin Zayed" stadium, where "River Plate" experienced an extraordinary "Copa Libertadores" final. After the first two showdowns between the two Argentine capital teams, which ended in a 2:2 draw, the fans of these teams pelted stones at the bus of the same city's "Boca Juniors" team, and several players from both teams were injured. The second leg was moved to Spain - almost 10,000 kilometers from where it was supposed to take place at the end of November - at the "Estadio Monumental" stadium. Due to the possibility of playing in their home field, the "River Plate" lost to the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium after extra time 3:1 (0:1), defeating the principled opponents, who played in the minority from the 92nd minute when Wilmar Barrios was sent off the field. The Argentinians who created a real football celebration at home and in Madrid will unfortunately not see their team play in the tournament final. In the first semi-final held on Tuesday, "River Plate" lost 5:4 on penalties to the hosts "Al Ain" after a 2-2 draw in regular time. Having beaten the "Liverpool" team 3:1 in the previous Champions League final, "Los Blancos" will have to overcome the barrier of "Antlers", who are participating in the tournament for the second time. The Japanese team didn't win the first time - two years ago they lost only in the final to the same "Real". The representatives of Asia have already beaten Guadalajara's "Chivas" team with a score of 3:2 and can cause trouble to the "Royal Club", defending the title of the best team in the world, especially after the disappointing season and after last season bidding farewell to coach Zinedine Zidane and leader Cristiano Ronaldo. The winners of this pair will determine a 43,000-seater "Zayed" stadium, where the final and the match for third place will also take place on Saturday.
