In the announced lineup of the German national team, there was no place for M. Ozil.

At the beginning of the season, the criticized Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil will not be able to help his national team in the near future - the player was not included in the German national team squad for the matches against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.

Along with M. Ozil, this time the national team will also not be represented by Mario Gotze and Sami Khedira, whom the German national team coach Joachim Low did not need at the moment. The coach himself explained such a decision stating that these players currently need rest.

"Speaking about Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira, in my opinion, they need this national team break for rest. This moment in the season is important for them and rest will benefit them. Meanwhile, it is most important for our national team that the best form of our players is achieved in the coming years," said J. Low.

In order to secure a place in next year's World Cup, the Germans only need to fight for one point in the next two matches.
