On Tuesday evening, eight matches of the 5th round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League were played.
At 19:00 in the Russian capital, a match took place between Moscow's CSKA and "Roma" clubs. Rudi Garcia's team surrendered victory at the end of the match.
In the 43rd minute, Francesco Totti put "Roma" ahead, but the Italians did not hold on until the end of the match and Vitalijus Berezutski scored the equalizing goal during added time.
In other matches, BATE suffered a 0-3 defeat at home against "Porto". Hector Herrera, Jackson Martinez, and Christian Tello scored for the Portuguese team.
One of the most interesting matches took place at the "Etihad" Stadium, where "Manchester City" players won a dramatic victory by a score of 3-2. Munich's "Bayern" led 2-1, but three goals from Sergio Aguero secured a crucial victory for the "Citizens".
Following the victory, Manuel Pellegrini's team has a chance to advance to the quarter-finals and holds five points along with Moscow's CSKA and "Roma" in the group.
In Group F, APOEL struggled against "Barcelona". Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, who set a record and became the all-time top scorer in the Champions League, scored for the Catalan team.
In their group, Paris Saint-Germain also secured a victory, beating Amsterdam's "Ajax" with a score of 3-1.
In other matches, London's "Chelsea" did not leave any hope for Gelsenkirchen's "Schalke", and Donetsk's "Shakhtar" unexpectedly lost at home to Bilbao's "Athletic".
