FIFA promises changes not only to the World Cup, but also to the Club World Cup.
During a press conference before the World Cup final, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced that starting from 2025, 32 teams will participate in the Club World Cup.
"The new men's Club World Cup will feature 32 teams starting in 2025. This tournament with 32 teams will be similar to the World Cup," the FIFA leader said at the press conference.
It is still unclear what the exact format will be and the place of this tournament in the football calendar.
G. Infantino also announced that the 2022 Club World Cup will be held in Morocco. Due to the World Cup, this tournament has been postponed to 2023. European champions Real Madrid players will also take part in it.
