On Wednesday evening, the remaining four matches of the German Cup quarterfinals were played.
In Munich, "Bayern" hosted a seven-goal thriller, defeating "Hoffenheim" 4:3 and continuing their fight for the trophy.
The visitors started the match more successfully, taking the lead in the 8th minute after Jerome Boateng's own goal. In the 13th minute, "Hoffenheim" defender Benjamin Hubner also scored an own goal, making the score even at 1:1.
The first half ended more successfully for "Bayern" - in the 20th minute, Thomas Muller turned the score in favor of his team, and Robert Lewandowski doubled the hosts' lead in the 36th minute.
The same Polish player scored his team's fourth goal in the 80th minute, and it seemed that "Bayern" would feel secure at the end of the match.
However, the visitors did not give up, and in the 82nd minute, Munas Dabbur reduced the deficit, scoring the third goal for "Hoffenheim." Nevertheless, the visitors could not equalize the score, and "Bayern" advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
