On June 15th, the season of the Girls Elite League (MEL) officially ended, with the winning teams coming from Vilnius, Gargždai, and Utena.

The season's laureates will be honored on Wednesday during the joint Girls Elite League and "Samsung Galaxy Watch" Elite Youth League awards ceremony.

The 'Žalgiris'-MRU team, which suffered only one loss in 14 games, secured the title of Lithuanian champions in the U17 age group. Just three points behind them were 'Žalgiris', while 'Banga' claimed the bronze medals.

List of top scorers:

1. Elzė Kiškūnaitė (FC 'Žalgiris') - 16 goals;

2. Patricja Penkauskaitė (MFA 'Žalgiris'-MRU) - 13;

3. Justina Blaževičiūtė (MFA 'Žalgiris'-MRU) - 12;

4-5. Emilija Grauslytė (FC 'Babrungas') and Marta Lipnickaitė (FC 'Žalgiris') - 10 each.

 

In the MEL U15 division, 'Žalgiris'-MRU secured 38 out of a possible 42 points, showcasing excellent defense. The 'Bees', known for their high scoring, finished second in the league, only losing to the division leaders. 'Utenos Utenis' crowned the podium of winners.

1. Agata Marija Kairytė (MFA 'Bees') - 37 goals;

2. Gabija Repečkaitė (FC 'Utenos Utenis') - 26;

3. Goda Smailytė (MFA 'Bees') - 22;

4-5. Elzė Česnauskaitė (Klaipėdos FM) and Andreja Tamošauskaitė (FC 'Banga') - 17 each.
