England national team coach Roy Hodson has announced the team lineup for the upcoming friendly matches against Ireland and the European Championship qualifying duel against Slovenia.
There are several surprises in the national team list. "Leicester City" striker Jamie Vardy, "Queens Park Rangers" leader Charlie Austin, and "Burnley" representative Tom Heaton have been included in the squad.
Vardy scored 4 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 matches in the Premier League, while his team secured a place in the top division.
Meanwhile, Austin scored 17 goals in 34 appearances, and goalkeeper Heaton kept 9 clean sheets during the season.
