European Championship spectators were able to witness another amazing football night. In Munich, at the "Allianz" Arena, the Italian national team triumphed 2:1 against the Belgian national team in a tense match and in the semi-finals the Italians will meet the Spanish national team at the "Wembley" stadium. These matches were characterized by high intensity and there were no lack of opportunities. However, there were also injuries. One of Italy's leaders, Leonardo Spinazzola, suffered an injury, while the Belgians lost Nacer Chadli. Kevin De Bruyne could have helped the Belgians, with a big question mark hanging over him before the match. Speaking of the match, the first half started actively, with both teams changing their attacks, and in the first half the players like De Bruyne, Lukaku, and Chiesa had chances.
In the 31st minute, action began when Italy broke through to a 1-0 lead, after a brilliant Nicolo Barella shot at goal. Earlier, J. Vertonghen made a mistake in the penalty area, the ball ended up with the Italians and "Inter" defender took advantage of that, sending the ball into the net with a shot from the edge. In the 44th minute, another goal was added by Lorenzo Insigne. It was another perfect execution, as Lorenzo hit the ball at the edge of the penalty area and struck it in such a way that the Belgian goalkeeper had no chance. However, just before the break, Belgium reduced the score. Youngster Jeremy Doku provoked a foul in the penalty area and Romelu Lukaku converted the penalty kick. As a result, Italy led 2-1 at halftime.
In the second half, excellent football was played again and there were certainly no lack of opportunities. One of them came in the 61st minute, when Romelu Lukaku failed to direct the ball into the goal from a few meters away and hit L. Spinazzola. In the 70th minute, "Inter" striker had another great chance, but once again failed to capitalize. T. Hazard also attempted to finish the attack, but he did not succeed either.
At the end of the match, Belgium tried to press the Italians, but they were not able to score another goal, and the result remained 2-1 in favor of Italy. They advance to the semi-finals, where they will meet Spain.
